KKR vs SRH, IPL 2024: Kolkata Knight Riders is all set to lock horns with Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL 2024 final and it will be a repeat of the Qualifier 1 match. Only the venue will be different as the summit clash will be held at the Chepauk, where Qualifier 2 was held as well.
In Qualifier 2, the Pat Cummins-led side bounced back against Rajasthan Royals. RR struck early as SRH had lost three wickets within the powerplay despite Rahul Tripathi’s gritty knock. Trent Boult bowled brilliantly during the powerplay and then Sandeep Sharma and Avesh Khan attacked during the middle overs and in the death overs but then Heinrich Klaasen smashed a half century and helped the team post a respectable target of 176 runs.
In reply, Rajasthan batters struggled and were reduced to 79/5 inside 12 overs. Shahbaz Ahmed and Abhishek Sharma shared five wickets between them as Rajasthan lost the plot. Dhruv Jurel scored an unbeaten half-century, but his efforts went in vain as SRH won by 36 runs qualified for their third final.

SRH lost a one-sided match to KKR in Qualifier 1 in Ahmedabad. They did not have the best of starts despite Tripathi smashing a half-century as Mitchell Starc’s brilliant bowling rattled SRH’s batting lineup as they lost four wickets inside the powerplay. Klaasen also scored a gritty knock but after he and Tripathi were dismissed, things went south for SRH
SRH did post a respectable target on the back of Pat Cummins and Vijaykanth Viyaskanth’s second-highest partnership for the tenth wicket. Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Sunil Narine handed Kolkata a decent start, then skipper Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer smashed unbeaten half-centuries to led their team to the fourth final.

According to Accuweather.com, Chennai will experience cloudy skies, but rain will not play a spoilsport in the match. The weather will range between 33 to 38 degrees Celsius, and the wind gusts will blow at 17 to 37km/hr.

The humidity will be around 63% and that can become a huge hindrance for both the players and the fans. There is no chance of thunderstorms but there will be 100% cloud cover.

Although this is the first time that they are playing in a summit clash, both teams have played against each other four times in the playoffs where both have won four matches each.
