Legends League Cricket 2023 Points Table: Urbanrisers Hyderabad defeated Southern Super Stars by 13 runs in the third match of the Legends League Cricket 2023 at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi on Tuesday, November 21.

The Suresh Raina-led side took the top spot in the standings after kicking off the tournament on a high with their first win as they replaced Manipal Tigers, claiming their first two points.

Manipal Tigers, who defeated Gujarat Giants in their first match are now placed second in the points table with one win under their belt in one match and have two points.

They are followed by Bhilwara Kings who stand at third position with as many points, having won their first match against India Capitals in the tournament opener.

The difference between all three teams is the net run rate. While Urbanrisers Hyderabad have a net run rate of +0.650, Manipal Tigers and BhilwaaKings are next to follow with a net run rate of +0.500 and +0.445 respectively.

India Capitals, who suffered a defeat in their first game stand in the fourth position with a net run rate of -0.445.

They are followed by Gujarat Giants and Southern Super Stars in the fifth and sixth positions with net run rates of -0.500 and -0.650 respectively.

Talking about Tuesday's match, Shreevats Goswami-led Southern Super Stars opted to bowl first after winning the toss and did well with the ball to bowl Urbanrisers out for 156 runs in 19.2 overs.

Hamid Hassan was the pick of the bowlers as he took four wickets for just 30 runs in his quota of four overs.

While Abdur Razzak and Suranga Lakmal picked up two wickets each, Pawan Negi and Dilshan Munaweera also took a wicket each.

Marin Guptill was the top run-getter for his side as he scored 46 runs in just 28 balls with the help of six fours and two sixes.

Chasing the target, Super Stars had a horrible start to their innings as they lost the first two wickets for just 10 runs but did well to keep the run rate going.

However, they kept losing wickets and were bowled out for 143 in 19.2 overs, falling 13 runs short with Munaweera top-scoring with 34 runs in 27 balls.

Pawan Suyal was the highest wicket-taker for his team as he picked up three wickets for just 23 runs in his four overs.

Chris Mpofu and Peter Trego picked up two wickets each whereas Stuart Binny and Pragyan Ojha also took a wicket each.


Top run-getter

Bhilwara Kings' batter Solomon Mire is the leading run-scorer of the tournament after the first round of matches with 70 runs to his name.

He is followed by his teammate and captain Irfan Pathan in second place with 65 runs and India Capitals' Gautam Gambhir with 63 runs.

Kirk Edwards and Jacques Kallis are next to follow at fourth and fifth place with 59 and 56 runs respectively.

Top wicket-taker

Parvinder Awana leads the bowling chart with four wickets to his name followed by Anureet Singh and Hamid Hassan in second and third place with as many wickets.

Pawan Suyal and Rajat Bhatia stand at fourth and fifth place respectively with three wickets each.
