India vs England 5th Test London Weather: The rain and bad light interruption in the evening session pushed the series-deciding final Test to day five after India managed to stay afloat in the game yet again following hundreds from Joe Root and Harry Brook, which seemed to have almost sealed the series win for England.
As has been the case throughout the English summer, a vivacious India found a way to fight back through their dauntless spirit after England required just 57 runs to complete the chase at tea.
Root (105) and Brook (111 off 98) were running away with the contest, but Mohammed Siraj and Co refused to give up post the break.
In the afternoon session, an solid 195-run stand off 211 balls between Brook and Root took the breeze out of India's drive as England sailed to 317 for four at tea. Heading into the last session of the day, it looked like England would seal the series on Day 4 but bad light first pushed the players back in before rain came in and the umpires called for early stumps.
With the likelihood of results swinging in both directions, with England needing 35 runs, India four wickets, the question still stands: will weather intervene on Day 5?
