Melbourne Weather Report, IND vs AUS 2nd T20I: India will be looking to take an early lead in the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia when both teams face off in the second match at the iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground on Friday. The first match of the series was abandoned due to rain in Canberra.
India looked in great touch with the bat in the first game as skipper Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill picked up the momentum on the back of some incredible shots before rain played a spoilsport. The ongoing series against the Aussies is a big assignment for India as they continue to prepare for the T20 World Cup 2026.

There has been a lot of talk around India's combination in the shortest format of the game, and the decision to keep Arshdeep Singh out of the lineup in the first game sparked debate. The team management continues to show faith in Harshit Rana, who provides a bit of depth in the batting at no.8. Interestingly, Arshdeep is India's highest wicket-taker in T20I cricket with 101 wickets to his name in just 65 matches.
