MI vs DC Toss Update, IPL 2024: Suryakumar Yadav made his return to the side for Mumbai Indians and will be making his first appearance of the IPL 2024.

Suryakumar missed out on the participation in the first three matches as he was recovering from his ankle injury for which he underwent surgery in January.

Delhi Capitals have won the toss and opted to bowl first in match 20 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Wankhede Stadium on Sunday, April 7.

The five-time champions Mumbai Indians have struggled for form so far in the tournament, having lost all of their first three matches and are placed at the bottom of the points table.

For Mumbai, Suryakumar Yadav replaced Naman Dhir whereas Romario Shepherd and Mohammad Nabi came in for Kwena Maphaka and Dewald Brevis.

"We would have bowled first as well, but batting first is also not a problem, this wicket does look a bit drier. The ball might not come on nicely unlike in a night game. But there will be less swing and it should be good to bat. We don't want to put pressure onto us, but one win will give us a lot of confidence," MI skipper Hardik Pandya said at the toss.

Delhi too made two changes as Mitchell Marsh and Rasikh Dar Salam made way for Jhye Richardson and Lalit Yadav.

DC captain Rishabh Pant confirmed at the toss that Mitchell Marsh missed out due to an injury.

They handed over the debut cap to Kumar Kushagra which means he could be DC's impact substitute in the match.

"We will bowl first. The wicket looks good, but you can chase any target here in Wankhede. We'll have to stick together as a team. I'm happy to be back, pleasure to be on the field in each and every game. Bowling is one department where we've been on and off, but it's hard for them in T20s. Just two changes for us," said Pant at the toss.

DC stand in the ninth position with one win and two points after four matches.

While MI suffered a defeat against Rajasthan Royals in their previous fixture, Delhi lost against Kolkata Knight Riders.
