Pawan Negi - Legend of the Game

"The wicket was challenging for batting, particularly against the spinners. Our strategy was to take the game to the last over, and I'm pleased that we emerged victorious. I focused on making an impact when I stepped onto the crease." - Pawan

NEGI HAS DONE IT WITH A HUGE SIX!

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 125-5 (19.4)

4 More! Negi again. 6 More!

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 119-5 (19.3)

Four for Negi. He is playing a blinder here! 10 more.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 115-5 (19.2)

Is this too much for SSS batters? 16 runs needed in last over. They need to do it to keep themselves alive in the tournament.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 109-5 (19)

Negi hits it for a six! We are up for a blockbuster finish here. 28 needed of 12 balls.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 97-5 (18)

Imran Khan gets his second!

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 90-5 (17)

SSS need 45 runs in 24 balls. Looks very difficult, considering what has unraveled in the game. MMT closing in on their third win in a row, and SSS is looking at their third loss.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 84-4 (16.4)

de Silva follows! Praveen Gupta takes another wicket. SSS in trouble!

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 73-4 (13.5)

Skipper Goes! Absoulte peach of a delivery by Praveen Gupta to dismiss Ross Taylor. Pitches on the leg stump, turns enough to take the off stuump of Taylor, who goes for seven.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 71-3 (13.2)

Another set batter Upul Tharanga is gone. Gets a thick outside edge, straight to Thisara Perera in the point region.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 67-2 (12.3)

Skipper Harbhajan Singh gets the breakthrough, takes the wicket of Jessie Ryder. Ryder goes after scoring 30 runs.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 60-1 (10.4)

Strategic Time-Out!

This is surely a no easy pitch to bat on. The set batters are finding it hard to middle it. We might be up for a close contest here. Ryder and Tharanga have stitched 50 runs together.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 51-0 (9)

Jesse Ryder is making it look easy here. New Zealand opener scored three boundaries in the over, shifting the momentum to SSS's camp.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 26-0 (5)

Jesse Ryder and Upul Tharanga are at the crease for SSS. Harbhajan introduced himself to the attack in the second over of the innings.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

SSS: 6-0 (2)

MNT only managed to get 124 runs in the 20 overs, the second lowest total in LLC by any team. Harbhajan got out on a duck in the final over, while Angelo Perera remained unbeaten at 47*.

SSS need 125 to win the contest and grab two crucial points.

MNT: 124-9 (20)

Pawan Negi gets two wickets in two balls. Unfortunately, he'll get a go at the hat-trick in the next match. Imran Khan and Mitchell McClenaghan are the players to go. Huge cheer as Harbhajan Singhs walks in.

MNT: 118-8 (19)

Another wicket falls for Tigers. Thisara Perera out for 13, trying to go down the ground for a six.

MNT: 102-6 (16.5)

Manipal Tigers need a special innings here to get somewhere around 150 mark. Can Thisara Perera do it for the Tigers?

MNT: 100-5 (16)

Colin de Grandhomme goes after scoring six runs. Abdur Razzak gets his second of the evening.

MNT: 81-5 (13.5)

Big Wicket falls as Masakadza departs after scoring 26 runs. Super Stars on top!

MNT: 62-4 (10.5)

MNT are facing difficulties in getting their momentum going here in Jammu. The pitch is providing minimal to no bounce, but all credit goes to SSS for slowing down the run-scoring. Masakadza is the one to keep an eye on.

MNT: 54-3 (9)

Kaif is given out LBW; he departs after scoring 7. Chaturanga de Silva claims his first wicket.

MNT: 38-3 (6.5)

Manipal Tigers have recovred well after losing two early wickets, but they need to accelerate their scoring rate to post a challenging total. Hamilton Masakadza looks settled, playing at 16 runs while Mohammad Kaif is playing on 7.

MNT: 37-2 (6)

Badrinath is gone! Abdur Razzak gets him bowled for two runs. Kaif the new batter in.

MNT: 14-2 (2.2)

Uthappa is gone, trying to flick one on the on-side for a boundary. Dinda gets his man!

MNT: 14-1 (1.5)

"There is no grass on the pitch. The ball will skid on and come to the bat nicely. We have to wait and see if there is any dew." - Anjum Chopra

Ross Taylor will be looking to turn the fortunes for the Southern Super Stars, while Harbhajan, the Turbanator, will be looking to continue their victory march in the LLC 2023.

There has been a slight delay, but we are expecting the toss to happen soon.
