India vs Australia, Border-Gavaskar Trophy: India will be travelling to Australia later this year for the much-awaited Border-Gavaskar Trophy and will be looking to win their third successive Test series there.
The Border-Gavaskar Trophy is set to start on November 22 with the first Test scheduled to be played in Perth.
The action in the five-match series will then shift to Adelaide, where both teams will face each other in a pink-ball day-night Test at Adelaide Oval from December 6. The final three matches are scheduled to take place in Brisbane (December 14-18), Melbourne (December 26-30), and Sydney (January 3-7).

Even though there is still time for the series to start, the build-up has begun with former players and experts sharing their take on the all-important series.
Amid all the predictions, star Indian pacer Mohammed Shami has sent a warning to the Pat Cummins-led Australian team by saying that India will start the series as the favourites.
“Favourites toh hum hi hai, chinta unhe honi chahiye (We are the favourites; they should be worried),” Shami was quoted as saying by PTI on Saturday.
Shami was a part of the India squad that toured Australia for the Test series played in 2020-21 series but was ruled out after picking up a hand injury in the first Test.
After witnessing an embarrassing defeat in the Adelaide Test, a young Indian team bounced back in Melbourne and went on to clinch the series despite setbacks with injuries to multiple key players.

Shami has been out of action with an ankle injury since the ODI World Cup 2023 where he picked up 24 wickets in seven matches.
The 34-year-old pacer, who has 229 wickets to his name in 64 Tests played so far, said he is trying to make a comeback as soon as possible and hinted that he may play a few Ranji Trophy matches returning to the national team.
