In a recent viral video, Dhoni was captured politely refusing to give an autograph to a fan, saying, "Haath mein nahi dete" (I don't give autographs on hand).

The cricketing icon was also in the limelight for a video circulating where he was seen smoking a hookah at a social event. This stirred discussions among fans as Dhoni, known for his exceptional fitness and disciplined lifestyle, surprised many with this public appearance.
Notably, Dhoni attended the engagement ceremony of Rishabh Pant's sister, sharing warm moments with Pant and his mother. The former captain has been actively participating in various social events since the beginning of the new year.
Despite making headlines for his social engagements, it was the first time this year that Dhoni was spotted training. With approximately three months remaining for IPL 2024, Dhoni is gearing up for the upcoming season, and his form with the bat is expected to be crucial, especially considering it might be his final season in the T20 league as a player.
Earlier, Dhoni delighted fans by celebrating the birthday of a lucky fan. The heartwarming video of the iconic cricketer feeding cake to the fan garnered widespread appreciation on social media.

After India’s win in the first T20I match against Afghanistan in the 3-match series, Shivam Dubey credited his match-winning knock to Dhoni.
"When I came into bat, I wanted to implement what I have learnt from MS Dhoni about finishing games," Dube said after the match.
"I keep speaking to Mahi bhai. I keep learning a lot from him. He tells me about how to tackle different situations. He has given me two-three tips and rated my batting. So, I feel if he rates my batting then I’ll keep playing well. My confidence went up because of that,” he added.
