Till now, there has been just one match, which was washed out due to rain, and that too occurred in Pallekele between Zimbabwe and Ireland.
What happens if Pakistan-New Zealand gets called off?
If the match between Pakistan and New Zealand is washed out owing to incessant rain, then both teams will get one point apiece. No reserve day has been set for this clash, and an abandoned game will affect their chances of qualifying for the semifinals.
An extra time of 90 minutes is available for this match in order to reach a result, but it will depend on the schedule of the start time. However, if there isn't enough time for the five-over match as well, the umpires will call off the match, and both teams will receive one point each.
