PAK vs AFG Tri-Series Final: On the back of Mohammad Nawaz's five-for, Pakistan had thrashed Afghanistan by 75 runs during the summit clash of the tri-series. Post winning the toss and choosing to bat first, the Men in Green had posted a below-average target of 141 runs. While chasing Afghanistan suffered a batting collapse, and they were bundled out after scoring just 66 runs. They batted for just 16 overs.

Pakistan won the toss and chose to bat first and had a shaky start. They were reeling at 0/1. Fazhal Farooqi had dismissed Sahibzada Farhan. Post this, Saim Ayub and Fakhar Zaman helped the team bounce back by stitching a partnership of 49 runs for the second wicket. During the eighth over, Noor Ahmed had dismissed Ayub. He could score just 17 runs off 19 balls.

Rashid took three wickets

During the next over, Rashid Khan dismissed Fakhar Zaman by LBW. Hasan Nawaz had scored 15 runs off just 8 balls. Mohammad Harris scored two runs. Skipper Salman Agha had scored 24 runs off 27 balls. Faheem Asgraf scored 15 runs. Mohammad Nawaz scored a gritty knock of 25 runs. Shahid Afridi scored an unbeaten knock of 2 runs. Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan registered a three-wicket haul. Besides him, Fazal Haq Farooqi and Noor Ahmed took two-wicket hauls. Allah Ghazanfar also took one wicket.

The Afghan team faltered

The Afghan team faltered badly while chasing 142 runs. Rahmanullah Gurbaz (5) was caught out in the very first over. Opener Sediqullah Atal could score only 13 runs. Darwish Rasooli, who came in at number 3, could not even open his account. Azmatullah Umarzai returned to the pavilion on a golden duck. Ibrahim Zadran played a slow innings of 9 runs in 15 balls.

Karim Janat faced 3 balls and could not open his account. Experienced all-rounder Mohammad Nabi faced 10 balls and scored 3 runs. Captain Rashid Khan also could not last long and got caught by Salman Aga after scoring 17 runs. Noor Ahmed (3) was sent to the pavilion by Sufiyan Muqeem. Mohammad Nawaz took a maximum of 5 wickets. Sufiyan Muqeem and Abrar Ahmed took 2 2 wickets each. Shaheen also took 1 wicket.
