PAK vs WI 1st Test: Pakistan's star batter Babar Azam, who had a decent outing with the bat in the Test series against South Africa, was supposed to repeat his heroics in the series opener against West Indies. And just like the other batters he too was seen having a hard time facing the West Indies bowlers as Jayden Seales took his wicket by bowling a brilliant outswinger and thus Babar got out. His dismissal was quite similar to that of Virat Kohli's during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy series.
The surface in Multan was supposed to be spin-friendly but exactly the opposite happened as Seales rattled their batting lineup and took three wickets and piled the pressure on the hosts during the series opener.
Low score on home Test return for Babar
The first Test match had a delayed start owing to dense fog as the West Indies' fast bowlers had dominated against the hosts. Of the three wickets that he took, Babar's dismissal was his best delivery as he got the star batter out for scoring just eight runs.

Seales bowled a good lengthy delivery as the ball had touched the outside off and went towards the outside edge. Babar Azam couldn't remove his feet as the wicket-keeper took an easy catch after he got out and thus Babar was left stunned.
West Indies dominate early proceedings
Multan's pitch curators used the greenhouse effect and gas heaters to dry the surface out. Due to this, the ball was seen turning since the first day. Gudakesh Motie dismissed Shan Masood but Jayden Seales took the remaining three wickets. He first dismissed Mohammad Huraira and then took the wickets of Kamran Ghulam and Babar Azam and thus rattled Pakistan's batting lineup.
