Pallekele Weather Update, Zimbabwe vs Ireland: As Zimbabwe take on Ireland in one of the most important matches in their history of Cricket, there are chances that rain might also have a say in their ongoing 'stellar' World Cup campaign on Tuesday. Notably, a win over Ireland will ensure them getting through to the Super Eight stage along with Sri Lanka.

Australia, which suffered successive defeats against Zimbabwe and Sri Lanka, will be rallying behind the Irish as a win for the Lorcan Tucker-led side will help the 2021 T20 WC champions stay alive in the tournament.

As per the AccuWeather website, the scenes in Pallekele don't look very encouraging. Rain is expected throughout the match hours. The temperature is anticipated to remain between 20 and 26 degrees Celsius, with humidity levels surpassing 75 percent.

What happens in the case of washout?

A washout will ensure Zimbabwe and Ireland will get a point each. Zimbabwe's tally will reach five as they will go through the next stage, even if they failed to secure a win over Sri Lanka in their final group stage.

Australia, on the other hand, will be knocked out, even if they win against Oman in their last group stage game.

Sikandar Raza on Zimbabwe's chances:

"Fine, we've had two results. Fine, the world is talking about Zimbabwe. It is great. But let them do all the talking for us. The next game becomes the most important game and hopefully, like I said, we get a good result out of the game. The game after that becomes the most important game, " Raza said.

Ireland's pacer Mark Adair on Zimbabwe:

"I think they're (Zimbabwe) probably as good of a bowling lineup as you'll find in this comp. It's definitely a challenge for our batters and vice versa for us. I think they're a good batting team and they obviously have that little bit of explosiveness towards the back but it's something that we're looking forward to. We've played a lot against them. We've seen a lot of these guys. There should be no surprises for us," Mark Adair said.
