Mumbai Indians vs Punjab kings Weather Forecast: Punjab Kings will lock horns with Mumbai Indians during the second Qualifier on Sunday. The Punjab-based franchise is in a must-win situation against MI as they suffered a heartbreaking loss to Royal Challengers Bengaluru during the first Qualifier in their backyard. On the other hand, Mumbai Indians qualified for the second qualifier by defeating Gujarat Titans during the Eliminator. Star Opener Rohit Sharma spearheaded their batting attack by scoring a match-winning knock of 81 runs off 50 balls and helped the team post a mammoth target of 228 runs.

Pacer Jasprit Bumrah registered match-winning figures of 1/27 and helped the team skittle GT out for 208 runs even though star opener Sai Sudharsan and Washington helped them bounce back.

Now that the ongoing season of the IPL is inching closer to its end, the surface in Ahmedabad won't be as batting-friendly as it was at the beginning. The average 1st innings total would be 173 runs.
