Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja is poised to make a return to domestic cricket, making himself available for Saurashtra's upcoming Ranji Trophy match against Delhi.

As per Cricbuzz, Jadeja joined the Saurashtra team on Sunday morning as they began their preparations for their next Ranji Trophy match, indicating that he is set to feature in the upcoming fixture for his state.

Saurashtra will face Delhi from January at Ground C in Rajkot. Meanwhile, earlier it was reported that the star all-rounder will confirm his availability or otherwise on Sunday.

"Jadeja has turned up for training today. He will play the next match," Saurashtra Cricket Association president Jaydev Shah told PTI on Sunday.

Jadeja was named in Champions Trophy squad on Saturday. The southpaw retired from T20 Internationals following the T20 World Cup triumph in Barbados last year.

Saurashtra have not had the best of times in Ranji Trophy seasons, collecting only 11 points from five games including two losses and as many draws. Their sole outright win came against Chandigarh.

Jadeja's participation in the Ranji Trophy is consistent with the recent trend of international players returning to domestic cricket. This move aligns with the Board of Control for Cricket in India's (BCCI) directive, which requires all international players to participate in domestic cricket unless they are injured or explicitly advised otherwise.

Several top Indian players have announced their participation in upcoming Ranji Trophy matches. On Saturday, Rohit Sharma confirmed that he will play for Mumbai against Jammu & Kashmir. Others like Rishabh Pant, Shubman Gill, and Yashasvi Jaiswal have also pledged to feature in their respective teams' next games.

Additionally, it is likely that KL Rahul will turn out for Karnataka in their final league match against Haryana in Bengaluru, starting January 30.
