RCB vs GT, IPL 2025: In a breathtaking moment that left the packed Chinnaswamy Stadium in absolute stunned silence, Gujarat Titans's (GT)pacer sensation Arshad Khan orchestrated a masterful dismissal of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) icon Virat Kohli.

The stage was set for a thrilling showdown between Kohli and former RCB players, now GT pacer Mohammed Siraj as Royal Challengers Bengaluru hosted their first home game of the IPL 2025 season.

But the arch of destiny hit quite another note when Arshad, relatively unheralded, sent Kohli into the hut instead of Siraj. Arshad was drafted into the Gujarat Titans playing XI as a replacement for Kagiso Rabada, and he grasped the opportunity to prove his mettle by the golden wicket.

A week ago, Arshad, who made his IPL debut against Punjab Kings, had returned wicket-less and everyone's curiosity fell onto whether he has the temperament for the bigger stage: no more. But the young bowler was hell-bent on delivering big and there could be no better way to redeem himself than by getting rid of the mighty Kohli in his very first over.

Kohli was in scintillating form, smashing an unbeaten 59 in the season opener against Kolkata Knight Riders, followed by a gritting 31 in a thrilling RCB victory over Chennai Super Kings at Chepauk and he was looking ominous again.

But then Arshad's breakthrough delivery changed that script and sent Kohli back into the dugout and announced the young bowler to the world of IPL.

Against GT, with no signs of slowing down, Kohli beautifully drove a length ball outside of the off stump by Siraj past extra cover, sending the crowd at Chinnaswamy into rapture.

The crowd was on its feet, anticipating a classic knock from Kohli but their glee was short-lived as Kohli's aggression came back to haunt him the very next over. RCB batter hit out a delivery by Arshad, straight down at the hands of Prasidh Krishna at long leg, and left the packed stadium shocked into silence.
