India batter Rinku Singh is proving his mettle in the T20Is with his remarkable finishing skills in the ongoing five-match T20I series against Australia. In the first T20I, Rinku mastered the chase on the final ball and in the second match he scored at a strike rate of 344.44 while setting the target.

After the fifties from top-three - Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan, Rinku excelled in his job of finishing the match in style with a knock of unbeaten 31 runs off nine balls studded with two sixes and four fours.

The swashbuckling batter said he is continuously working on his finishing skills in the nets and only focused on batting in the last five overs.

"I have been playing at 5-6 for a while, so I try to stay calm and focused. I just play the ball on its merit, watch the ball and play accordingly. My role is to bat in the last 5 overs, so I have been working on his finishing skills. I do my net sessions with the same mindset," he said.

"He (Surya) is really good, we youngsters are enjoying ourselves with this setup," Rinku added.

Indian batters dominating show in the middle guided them to 235/4 in 20 overs. In response, Australia were restricted to 191/9 as Ravi Bishnoi and Prasidh Krishna clinched three scalps each.

India won the match by 44 runs to lead the five-match series 2-0. The third ODI will be played at Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday, November 28.
