India A vs England Lions: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), on Friday, January 19, announced the squads for the final two matches between India A and England Lions in Ahmedabad.

The final two games, starting on January 24 and February 1, are four-day ones as both teams eye series win.

Tilak Varma and Arshdeep Singh have been picked in the squad for both the matches whereas Rinku Singh is set to play his first game for India A after getting selected for the final four-dayer.

While Tilak and Arshdeep recently played in the T20I format, Rinku also spent time with India's Test squad in South Africa as a reserve player.

The left-handed batter has played 43 first-class matches so far, scoring 3099 runs at an average of 58.47. On the other hand, Rinku's UP team-mate Yash Dayal found a place in the squads for both the remaining games against England Lions.

Jharkhand's wicketkeeper-batter Kumar Kushagra was also picked in the squad as he continues to get more exposure, having been bought by Delhi Capitals for an incredible amount of INR 7.2 Crore in the IPL 2024 Auction.

This is his maiden call-up to the A squad. Railways' Upendra Yadav will be the other keeper in the side.

The pair replaced KS Bharat and Dhruv Jurel, who both will join the senior side for the first two Test matches against England in Hyderabad and Vizag.

Bengal's Abhimanyu Easwaran, who was the reserve opener in South Africa will continue to captain the India A side after missing out on the senior selection for the England Tests.

Washington Sundar has also been called up to the India A squad for both games.

Saurabh Kumar, another spinner who has been on the fringes of the India Test team, will join the team to partner Washington in the second match.

Mumbai spinner Shams Mulani will replace Saurabh for the final game. His Mumbai team-mate Tushar Deshpande also made it to the squad for both matches.
