IND vs ENG: After having a forgetful outing both as a skipper and batter for the Lucknow Super Giants during the recently concluded IPL 2025, India's star wicket-keeper batter Rishabh Pant will aim to bounce back by breaking ex-India captain MS Dhoni's record and will try to become the country's most successful wicket-keeper batter in SENA countries. Ever since he made his debut in the longest format, Pant's playing style especially in overseas conditions has been described as aggressive, bold, risky, and stubborn. His shots can leave his fans in awe and leave the opponent bowlers surprised and the next moment, his rash shots might leave him getting dismissed easily.

It should be noted here that his four out of six hundreds in this format have been scored in SENA countries and that speaks a lot about his ability to adapt to tricky conditions. In his last few Test series against Australia and England, the fans have witnessed him taking singles on a few balls and doubles while analyzing the surface and he then switches to his 'spidey' form and is seen performing acrobatics like no other. He is also seen falling on the ground while playing a shot, the bat slipping from his hands when he tries to go big and he is also seen smashing a one-handed six makes him an unpredictable batter.

If he does score another hundred during the upcoming series, then he will become the ticket-keeper batter with the most hundreds in this format and will thus break MS Dhoni's record of six centuries.

As far as his records in SENA countries are concerned, Pant has scored 1682 runs after playing in 26 Test matches, at a staggering average of 37.35, which also includes four hundred and five half-centuries. He just needs 50 runs to become the highest run-scorer among all Asian wicket-keeper batters in SENA countries and will surpass Dhoni, who had scored 1731 runs after playing in 32 matches at a brilliant average of 31,47, which included 13 fifties.

And since the youngster Dhruv Jurel is also performing well for India A consistently, Pant needs to perform well during the upcoming five-match Test series against England. But a player like Pant just can't be dropped from playing XI like that but his inconsistent performances during the five-match Test series against Australia, where he had scored 255 runs after playing in nine innings at a below-par average of 28.33 and when he has smashed just one half-century, speaks a lot about his form.
