India captain Rohit Sharma demonstrated his compassionate side by visiting Musheer Khan, the brother of cricketer Sarfaraz Khan, who recently suffered severe injuries in a car accident. The incident occurred when Musheer and his father, Naushad Khan, were traveling from their hometown Azamgarh to Lucknow for the Irani Cup game.

Tragically, their vehicle collided with a divider and overturned on the Purvanchal Expressway, leaving both Musheer and his father injured. The accident has ruled Musheer out of the ongoing domestic cricket season.

Musheer faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines, with his anticipated three-month recovery period set to keep him out of action until well into the Ranji Trophy 2024-25 season, which kicks off on October 11.

In a remarkable display of dedication and emotional resolve, Sarfaraz Khan delivered a stellar performance in the Irani Cup, scoring an unbeaten 222 off 286 deliveries for Mumbai.

This magnificent double century came at a poignant time, as Sarfaraz's brother Musheer recovered from a severe neck fracture sustained in a recent car accident.

After his outstanding innings, Sarfaraz revealed a heartfelt promise he had made to his family - to score a century in honour of his ailing brother.
