SA vs IRE 1st T20I Fantasy Prediction: The Ireland cricket team will face South Africa in the series opener of the two-match T20I series which will be held on Friday in Abu Dhabi.
Ireland last played competitive cricket at the 2024 T20 World Cup, which was held in the USA and West Indies. The Paul Stirling-led side finished in the last position in the points table as they lost three matches and one was called off. On the other hand, South Africa will aim to bounce back after suffering a humiliating 2-1 ODI series loss against Afghanistan in UAE.
South Africa has an upper edge in the head-to-head record against Ireland in the shortest format. They have won all the T20I matches that they have played against Ireland and will aim to continue the winning streak. At the same time, Ireland will try to give the 2024 T20 World Cup finalists a hard time.
