Cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar is all set to return to action as he will compete in a six-nation tournament featuring legends across the globe.

The International Masters League (IML), an annual T20 cricket tournament, initially features cricketing stars from six cricket-playing nations – India, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, England, and Sri Lanka.

The tournament promises to recall the memories and initiate out new battles as it brings back the magic of some of the game’s greatest players.

Indian legend Sachin Tendulkar’s return is set to reignite excitement among millions of fans eagerly awaiting the legendary comeback across the 22 yards.
On the other hand, legendary cricketer Sunil Gavaskar has been appointed as the League Commissioner.

The matches of the tournament are scheduled to be held in Mumbai, Lucknow and Raipur.

Sachin talked about the competition where he mentioned the current demand to see some of the age-old rivalries return and showcase their masterclass once again.

“Cricket continues to grow in popularity not just in India, but across the world. In the last decade, T20 cricket has accelerated its adoption and has drawn new fans into the game. There is now a strong desire among fans across ages, to re-witness age-old battles in newer formats”.

Notably, Sachin ended his 24-year-long decorated career way back in 2013. Having provided one of the most iconic moments in the history of the game, the legendary batter will always be among the greats to have graced the cricket pitch.

Sachin spoke about how athletes never really retire and said that the former players have a commendable urge to compete again and the league would be the perfect addition to see some of the legendary names of old get back on the pitch.

“Sportspersons never retire at heart and the competitive streak within waits for an opportunity to get back on the field. We have conceived the International Masters League as a meeting point for passionate fans and competitive cricketers,” he shared.

“I am certain all players participating will get back into the groove and prepare hard. When we represent our countries, we all want to play top-quality cricket and try to win,” he added.
