Pakistan T20I Tri-Series 2025: Pakistan's T20I captain Salman Ali Agha entered his name in the history books during their match against Zimbabwe in the ongoing Tri-Series 2025 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Agha-led side registered their third successive win in the ongoing series.
Salman Agha has broken Rahul Dravid’s world record of featuring in the most international matches in a calendar year. The match against Zimbabwe was Salman's 54th international appearance for Pakistan in 2025. He went past Dravid’s tally of 53 international matches for India in 1999. Pakistan’s Mohammad Yousuf and India’s Mahendra Singh Dhoni also played 53 international matches each in 2000 and 2007, respectively.

In the match played between Pakistan and Zimbabwe in Rawalpindi on Sunday, Agha came out to bat at No. 6 for the hosts and remained unbeaten on 1 run from two balls. They bowled Zimbabwe out for just 126 runs in 19 overs as Usman Tariq picked up four wickets for 18 runs in his four overs, whereas Mohammad Nawaz found a couple of scalps. The hosts registered a 69-run victory, putting their one foot forward for a place in the finals.
"It was perfect, that is what I wanted from my team yesterday and tonight. When you have 70 metres boundaries, runnning between the wickets is going to be really crucial and that is something we discuss in the team meetings. He is an X factor (talking about Usman Tariq) and that's how we want to use him. If we have a bowler like that who can create that kind of impact in the middle overs, we are always going to be on the winning side," PAK skipper Salman said at the post-match presentation.
