South Africa National Cricket Team vs India National Cricket Team Match Full Scorecard: India took firm control on Day 2 as the middle order batters' crucial knocks helped the hosts post 138/4 at Lunch against South Africa's disciplined attack in the ongoing first Test at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday.

India's cautious optimism continued as the hosts added 101 runs in 25 overs. At the time of Lunch, India's score read 138/4 with Ravindra Jadeja (11) and Dhruv Jurel's (5) steady partnership keeping the side strong, traling by just 21 runs.

Earlier, KL Rahul (39 off 119 balls) and Washington Sundar (29 off 82 balls) added 57 runs on a difficult track but couldn't transform the start.

Washington was removed by off-spinner Simon Harmer, while Rahul, after all the hard work, was caught trying to cut Keshav Maharaj. Both catches were taken by Aiden Markram at first slip.
