SRH vs RR, IPL 2024: In an interesting turn of events during the IPL 2024 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals, Travis Head was surprisingly given not out by the third umpire.
The match 50 of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium witnessed a controversial moment regarding the Head's dismissal that led to Kumar Sangakkara's argument with the fourth umpire.
The instance took place in the 15th over of SRH's innings when Head reached out for a delivery outside the off-stump but missed out off Avesh Khan.

Head found himself out of the crease and Heinrich Klaasen did well to hit the stumps from behind before the on-field umpire decided to go upstairs.
Replays showed that the bat clearly was in the air but the third umpire was quick to adjudge Head not out, leading to angry reactions in the RR camp.
The franchise director of cricket Kumar Sangakkara was in huge disbelief and was seen having a discussion with the fourth umpire.

While a number of coaches had a got at the fourth umpire, Avesh was set on his run up and went on to dismiss Head on the very next ball.

Head played a remarkable knock despite a tough start for SRH with the bat, scoring 58 runs in 44 balls with the help of six fours and three sixes.
He stitched a crucial partnership of 96 runs with Nitish Reddy for the third wicket before getting dismissed.
On the other hand, Nitish ended up being the top run-getter for the hosts as he played a magnificent knock of unbeaten 76 runs in 42 balls on the back of three fours and eight sixes.

His quick-fire partnership of 70 runs with Heinrich Klaasen (42* off 19) for the fourth wicket helped SRH post a huge total of 201/3 in their 20 overs.
