ICC T20 World Cup 2024 Format:

All the 20 teams have been put into four groups. All the teams from each group will play against each other in the group stage. The top two teams from each group will then play for the Super Eight stage. These eight teams will then be put into two groups and the top two will qualify for the semis. Winners of the semis will play against each other in the summit clash on June 29.

What Are The Rules For Tied And Washed-Out Matches:

In such a scenario, the winner will be decided based on a super over. If that also fails, then another Super over will be held. If a match is stopped due to rain or bad weather, then the number of overs would be reduced to five to declare the winner. During the knockout matches, the number of overs reduced would be 10.
