IND vs SA, 2024 T20 World Cup final: India’s star batter Virat Kohli was seen making a video call to his wife Anushka Sharma, in which he showed her the pathetic weather conditions in Barbados, due to Hurricane Beryl. Kohli, who along with the Indian cricket team, is stuck in Barbados after winning the T20 World Cup 2024 used the ample time that he had to share the glimpses with Anushka of the strong hurricane. The Men in Blue, who are stranded in Barbados after winning the summit clash, will be leaving the Caribbean Island on Wednesday night. India thrashed South Africa by seven runs in Kensington Oval and broke their title drought of 11 years.

Kohli, while expressing his happiness, shared a heartfelt note for his wife Anushka Sharma on his official social media account after lifting the 2024 T20 World Cup title. This was a historic triumph for both the Rohit Sharma-led side and their fans. Kohli played a huge role in helping the team lift the trophy as he scored a match-winning knock of 76 runs off 59 balls after India was struggling at 34/3 during the powerplay. The team suffered a top-order batting collapse and that's when Kohli helped the team post a respectable target of 176/7, which was sufficient as South Africa could score 169/8 while chasing and thus India won the match by seven runs.

As per India Today, the Rohit Sharma-led side will first land in Delhi and will be felicitated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But the team members, the squad, the support staff, and the families have been stuck in Barbados for the last three days owing to flight cancellations due to Hurricane Beryl, which engulfed the island country on Monday.
Due to precautionary measures, the whole country was forced into a lockdown situation for the last three days and that's why the players were asked to stay inside the hotel. The BCCI officials tried to organize a private jet or chartered flight to help the team land in India safely but faced challenges due to the Barbados airport being shut. The Rohit Sharma-led side will now depart from Barbados at 2:00 a.m. on Wednesday according to the latest updates. The Indian team will land in Delhi in the early hours of Thursday morning.
