Men's T20 World Cup 2026: During the 2nd ODI between India and South Africa, former India captain and the Ambassador for the upcoming edition of the Men's T20 World Cup, Rohit Sharma, unveiled the team's jersey. The moment took place after the 1st innings as India posted 358 for 5 after 50 overs. The jersey was unveiled by former India captain Rohit Sharma who is also the brand ambassador of the tournament, and a member of the Indian T20 side, Tilak Varma.

“It’s been a long journey. We won the first T20 World Cup in 2007, and then, it took us 15-odd years to win the next one. We have been through ups and downs, but it’s always good to win the trophy. And now, we all know, that the World Cup is happening in India. It’s going to be an exciting tournament, and I wish all the very best to the Indian team," Rohit said.

“I’m sure each and every one of us will back the team. And they will also try to give their best," he added.

India are the defending champion coming into the 10th edition of the T20 World Cup scheduled to take place from February 7 to March 8. India will host it across eight venues along with Sri Lanka.

Group A features India alongside arch rivals Pakistan, USA, Netherlands and Namibia. India's first match is scheduled against the USA in their tournament opener in Mumbai on February 7.
