T20 World Cup 2026: India's star batter Tilak Varma is all set to feature in the warm-up matches ahead of the upcoming mega event, as he has received clearance from the BCCI's Centre of Excellence. He has stayed out of action for almost a month as he had to undergo surgery owing to abdominal injury, which he sustained in the Ranji Trophy.

He also gave the five-match T20I series against New Zealand a miss and was replaced by Ishan Kishan as No.3 batter.

The BCCI had revealed that Tilak began physical training post his surgery and had made steady progress in his rehab.
