The Jharkhand State Cricket Association released a list of 40 players on Friday for the domestic season 2024-2025. What’s surprising is that star wicket-keeper batter Ishan Kishan’s name is not on the list. Things went from bad to worse for the youngster after he was dropped from his state team Jharkhand.

As per a few JSCA officials, Ishan who was out from the Indian team for a long time now, is currently training at the NCA, under the guidance of former Indian cricketer VVS Laxman. He will join his state team as soon as he is released by the NCA. Many senior players were not included in this list, which was revealed by JSCA secretary Debashish Chakraborty. All the players included in the list should reach JSCA by June 22, Saturday.

The BCCI also terminated his central contract earlier this year during the Test series against England due to disciplinary reasons. Ishan last played for India in the five-match T20I series against Australia last year. Speculations are also rife that due to BCCI’s ignorance towards him, there is are high chance that Ishan might play for teams from other countries
