India-A vs UAE, Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025: India A kicked off their campaign in style in the ongoing ACC Men's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 as they thrashed the United Arab Emirates by 148 runs in match 2 in Doha on Friday. They produced a memorable all-round performance to set the tone heading forward in the tournament.
The Men in Blue restricted the UAE to 149/7 while defending their massive total. Gurjapneet Singh was the pick of the bowlers for India as he took three wickets for 18 runs in his four overs. On the other hand, Harsh Dubey (2/12), Ramandeep Singh (1/32) and Yash Thakur came up with impactful efforts.
After opting to bat first, India unleashed a carnage on the UAE bowlers as young Vaibhav Suryavanshi once again produced a memorable effort. He smashed multiple records during his stay at the crease and hit boundaries for fun. He smashed the UAE bowlers all around the park during his incredible knock of 144 runs in just 42 balls on the back of 11 fours and 15 sixes.

The 14-year-old had brought up his fifty in 17 balls before smashing an outstanding century in 32 balls.
After Priyansh Arya's early dismissal for just 10 runs in the second over of the match, Vaibhav and Naman Dhri stitched a magical partnership of 163 runs for the second wicket to take the opponents completely out of the game. Apart from Vaibhav's marathon effort, Jitesh Sharma also came up with an excellent effort. He played a fiery knock of unbeaten 83 runs in just 32 balls on the back of eight fours and six sixes.

The 14-year-old Vaibhav mentioned his hunger for runs as he insisted that there is method behind the mayhem.
"Not every ball I try to hit. I try to play my game and help the team win," he said.
Talking about the simple mantra behind his composure, Vaibhav said: "It’s all part of the journey. I always wonder where I was playing a few years ago and where I am playing now. I am grateful for all this. There’s no pressure. Fans are here to support me. When I enter the field, I leave everything else behind. My focus is only on the next ball," he said.
