IND U19 vs AUS U19 Youth Test: India's star teenager, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, can't stop himself from smashing centuries and creating records. The youngster on Wednesday had created another record as he had smashed a hundred off 78 balls on Day 2 of the first youth Test against Australia U19 in Brisbane.

While batting as an opener, Suryavanshi gave the team a flying start after the visitors had bundled out at 243 runs on Day 1. Suryavansh had scored a brilliant knock of 113 runs off 86 balls, in which he had smashed nine fours and eight sixes.

Suryavanshi achieved the milestone by smashing a six and a four on consecutive balls. His century off 78 balls is the second fastest in the history of this format and is just behind his skipper, Ayush Mhatre, who had achieved this milestone in 64 balls against England U19.

Suryavanshi Slams Fastest Century On Australian Soil

This hundred from Suryavanshi is also the fastest by any batter in this format in Australia. Australia's Liam Blackford had earlier held this record as he scored his century off 124 balls against England U19 way back in January 2023.

The 14-year-old Suryavanshi has also become the youngest batter to have smashed a hundred in this format in Down Under.

Earlier this year, Suryavanshi became the first batter to have smashed a half-century and take a wicket before 15 the age of. He had achieved this milestone in England and had broken the record made by Bangladeshi Mehiy Hasan Miraz, who achieved this feat after turning 15.

Suryavanshi Equals McCullum’s Record

Suryavanshi had also leveled Brendon McCullum's record of smashing two hundreds in this format in less than 100 balls.

He grabbed everyone's attention with his brilliant performance in an IPL match and had also broken the record of smashing the fastest 100 as an Indian batter in the history of this format. He smashed his century off just 35 balls and became the second fastest batter.
