IND-A vs UAE, Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025: Vaibhav Suryavanshi scripted history again as he entered the record books with an outstanding century for India A against the UAE in the second match of the ACC Men's Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 in Doha on Friday. The 14-year-old Suryavanshi became the first cricketer to score a century for India A in a T20 match.
Vaibhav looked unstoppable after India opted to bat first in their opening match of the tournament and smashed his hundred in just 32 balls, plundering 10 fours and nine sixes on the way. He recorded the joint-second-fastest T20 hundred. The record for the fastest T20 hundred by an Indian is jointly held by Urvil Patel and Abhishek Sharma, who breached three figures in 28 balls. The century by Vaibhav on Friday is the joint-fourth fastest by any cricketer in T20s.

Notably, Suryavanshi looked in magnificent touch as soon as he stepped in the middle to open alongside Naman Dhir. He scored a half-century off just 17 balls.
Suryavanshi was dropped first ball but made full use of his second life, hammering 11 fours and 15 sixes in his knock of 144 runs in 42 balls before getting out in the 13th over. Suryavanshi, at 14 years and 232 days, also became the youngest man to score a hundred for a national representative team at the senior level. The record previously held by Bangladesh's Mushfiqur Rahim, who was 16 years and 171 days old when he played a knock of 111* runs for Bangladesh A against Zimbabwe A in a first-class match in 2005.
On the back of his effort, India A posted a mammoth total of 297/4 in their 20 overs. Jitesh Sharma provided the finishing touch with a fiery knock of 83 runs in just 32 balls on the back fo eight fours and six sixes.
