Vipraj Nigam impresses in IPL 2025

Having represented Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket since 2024, Vipraj's career got a major boost when he got a chance to play for Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025. He was bought for Rs 50 lakh by the franchise.

Nigam had a breakout season where he amassed 142 runs in right innings, averaging 20.29 and also picked up 11 wickets in 13 innings, turning out to be a great all-round potential.

One of his notable moments came during a match between DC and the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2025 when he dismissed legendary batter Rohit Sharma. He also grabbed the limelight by dismissing Virat Kohli against RCB in the same IPL season. Comparing the dismissal of two batting stalwarts, Vipraj said, "For sure, Virat Kohli’s wicket gave me more satisfaction because it came at RCB’s home ground. To dismiss such a big legend in front of his home crowd was really special. I had said during the IPL itself that he was my dream wicket, so definitely Virat Kohli."
