Virat Kohli is back in his remarkable batting touch and he is expected to shine again in the remaining part of his career.
The former Indian batter was on fire in the ODI World Cup 2023 at home last year and ended up being the top run-getter in the tournament with 765 runs to his name in 11 matches at an average of 95.62.
Apart from three centuries and six fifties during the marquee tournament, Virat achieved a monumental feat as he surpassed the great Sachin Tendulkar's tally of ODI centuries (49) to become the player with the most number of hundreds in the format.
He achieved the feat of 50th ODI ton during the semi-final match against New Zealand in the semi-final against New Zealand in Mumbai.
While Virat is often regarded as the potential batter to cross Sachin's record of 100 international centuries, the former West Indies captain has his view on the same as he believes that the star batter can achieve anything he wants.
"I do not know about the period, but he is young enough and I am sure that the way he is playing he can achieve anything he wants to achieve and it would be something to be quite happy to achieve," Lloyd said during an event in Kolkata.

The two-time World Champion also put up his opinion on the future of Test cricket, saying that he would prefer more long format matches happening and also rallied for three/five Test match series instead of two.
"At the moment probably they are having too many T20s and stuff. I would like to see a little bit more Test cricket. And if you are playing Test cricket, I would prefer three Test matches or five matches. I do not think the West Indies should travel to Australia, 12,000 miles, for two Test matches. It does not make sense. Like the other day, it is one-all (in the India vs South Africa series). Now the other Test would have shown who was the better of the two teams," he added.
Talking about Virat, the 35-year-old looks in promising touch with the bat and was the top run-getter for India in the Test series against South Africa.
In the series where India lost the first Test in three days, Virat played up a fighting knock before the visitors bounced back in the second match to draw the series 1-1.
Kohli is all set to make his comeback in the T20I format after more than a year as he will be playing in the T20I series against Afghanistan at home.
He missed the first match due to personal reasons but will be available for the remaining two as the star batter continues to be a key player for the team which is in search of a perfect team combination ahead of the T20 World Cup2024 in West Indies and the USA.
