Bengaluru police have filed an FIR against Virat Kohli's One8 Commune pub and several other establishments on MG Road for staying open past the allowed closing time. According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central), the pubs were found operating until 1:30 am, exceeding the permitted closing time of 1 am.
The police intervention came following complaints about loud music being played late into the night. One8 Commune, situated near the Chinnaswamy cricket stadium, is among the pubs cited for this violation.
"We received complaints about loud music at night. The investigation is ongoing, and further action will follow," stated a police officer.
Kohli's One8 Commune also has branches in other major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Kolkata. The Bengaluru branch, which opened last December, is located on the sixth floor of Ratnam's Complex.
It is interesting to note that One8 Commune pub has not issued an official statement regarding the FIR by Bengaluru Police.
Currently, the former India captain is in London with his wife actress Anushka Sharma ever since the victory parade and felicitation took place following T20 World Cup title win in June.
