IND vs ENG Highlights: India's former red-ball captain Virat Kohli also dropped in a word of praise for India's epic win on Day 5 of the Oval Test on Monday. Kohli, who has been a proponent of putting Test Cricket 'first', took to social media to congratulate India as they levelled the five-match series 2-2.
Kohli, who retired from the format this year in May, praised Siraj for the way he put everything on the line for his side. He also praised pacer Prasidh Krishna who picked up 8 wickets in the match.
“Great win by Team India. Resilience and determination from Siraj and Prasidh has given us this phenomenal victory. Special mention to Siraj, who will put everything on the line for the team. Extremely happy for him," Kohli tweeted.

Shikhar Dhawan says many more to come
Former India opener Shikhar Dhawan was full of praise for the Indian team after its incredible six-run win over England in the fifth and final Test at The Oval. The result helped India level the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2–2 and kick off their World Test Championship 2025–27 campaign with a much-needed boost.
“Siraj & Prasidh, amazing stuff with the ball. Your attitude and playing with calm was brilliant, sab kuch perfect tha! Shubman Gill, your leadership was on point, and there's more to come. Maza aa gaya dekh ke. Proud of you boys,” Dhawan told IANS.

Commentator Varun Aaron also spoke about India’s series-leveling win with a young squad sans Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma:
“Extraordinary achievement, especially when the team is going through a transition phase. Who thought that the Indian team, going through a transition phase, would come out and perform like this? A very, very special victory to witness. Siraj bowled like a dream. Unbelievable. Everything on the line with the 80-over old Dukes ball. So much heart, so much dedication for this win. It shouldn't go unnoticed. Such an important Test victory for the Indian cricket team, especially because this was the first one under Shubman Gill. There were so many doubts with Virat not being there, Rohit not being there, and Bumrah playing just 3 Tests. I think they have put everything, more than everything, all the doubts to rest. And this is what this Indian team is made of. They are an absolute gun team.”
