Babar Azam Record, West Indies cricket team vs Pakistan national cricket team match scorecard: Babar Azam achieved a remarkable personal feat during the first ODI match between the West Indies and Pakistan at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad on Saturday.
Babar had a promising outing and made a crucial contribution during Pakistan's run chase. The visitors ended up winning the first match and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match ODI series. Pakistan chased down the 281-run target in 48.5 overs with Hasan Nawaz playing a match-winning knock.
Babar, the former Pakistan skipper, has been at the centre of criticism for a while now, and his performances are always in focus. He struggled for consistency over the past couple of years, and his disappointing performances resulted in losing his captaincy across formats.

In the first ODI, Babar came out to bat at his usual no.4 position after Saim Ayub's dismissal for just 5 runs in the third over. The 30-year-old looked solid in the middle during his 47-run partnership with Abdullah Shafique for the second wicket.
He added 55 more runs during his partnership with skipper Mohammad Rizwan for the third wicket. In the meantime, Babar also went past Bangladesh legend Shakib Al Hasan in the list of players with the most runs in international cricket. Babar has amassed 6282 runs now in 129 innings in ODIs at an average of 55.1 and a strike rate of 87.82. But he missed out on notching up his 38th fifty in the format by just three runs and already has scored 19 centuries.
