India Win Women's ODI World Cup 2025: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has stated that there are no immediate plans for a victory parade after Team India pulled off a historic feat by clinching the first-ever Women's World Cup on Sunday. As per a report by IANS, BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed that no plans have been finalised for any victory parade. Notably, the Men's Cricket Team had a victory parade after clinching the T20 World Cup in 2024.
Ever since the inception of Indian Women's Cricket in 1973, an elusive ICC title evaded the nation for a long time. Team India encountered a series of heartbreaks all these years before finally ending the drought on Sunday, defeating first-time finalists South Africa in the final by 52 runs.
Interestingly, the celebrations will be discussed once BCCI officials return from Dubai after the ICC meeting scheduled to take place from 4-7 November.

“Nothing like a victory parade is planned as of now,” Saikia told IANS while speaking from Mumbai airport. “I’m leaving for Dubai to attend the ICC meeting. Several officials are heading there as well, so once we return, we will plan accordingly.”

Saikia further added that the board would also raise the issue of the Asia Cup trophy with the International Cricket Council (ICC) to seek its rightful return.
“We will take up the Asia Cup trophy matter with the ICC and hopefully get our trophy back with the respect and honour it deserves,” he said.
