The Pakistan team faced a health crisis as several of their players were struck by a viral fever following their arrival in Bengaluru. The alarming situation has cast a shadow over their preparation for a highly anticipated World Cup match against Australia on October 20.

The Pakistani team, having suffered a seven-wicket defeat to arch-rivals India in Ahmedabad, arrived in Bengaluru on Sunday with high hopes of bouncing back in the tournament. However, their plans were quickly derailed by an unexpected health issue.

Bengaluru has experienced a surge in viral fever cases in recent months. The fluctuating weather conditions and a mix of viral strains in the air have contributed to the health concerns among the visiting players.

Ahsan Iftikhar Nagi, the media manager for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), confirmed that most of the afflicted players have made a recovery. They have responded well to medical treatment and are on the path to full health. However, a few players remain under medical observation to ensure a complete and safe recovery.

"Some players got fever in the past few days and most of them have fully recovered from it. Those who are in the stage of recovery remain under the team medical panel's observation," PTI quoted Nagi as saying.

The PCB has been working closely with the team's medical staff to monitor the situation and provide the necessary care.

In the midst of this challenging situation, the Pakistani team managed to continue their training at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday.
