Pakistan's 2023 World Cup campaign faced a significant setback when New Zealand secured a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka in Bengaluru. Pakistan's hopes for a semi-final berth relied heavily on a Sri Lankan win, and while it's not impossible for them to still qualify, the task has become daunting. To secure a spot in the knockout stages, Pakistan now needs to defeat England by at least 287 runs.

This result has led many former cricketers to accept the likelihood of an India-New Zealand semi-final next week. Former India opener Virender Sehwag is one of them. On Friday, he posted a controversial tweet with "Pakistan Zindabhaag," implying that Pakistan would be flying back home after their last group match against England.

Sehwag's tweet triggered mixed reactions from fans on both sides of the border, leading to a debate about the teams' performances. When a Pakistan fan mentioned that their bowlers had troubled Sehwag, an Indian fan responded that Sehwag had an average of nearly 91 against Pakistan. Check out the post and Sehwag's response here:

Sehwag responded to the tweet by taking a dig at Pakistan's bowling attack, stating that their bowling after Wasim Akram's retirement wasn't good enough for him.
