WPL 2024 Schedule: Defending champions Mumbai Indians will lock horns with runners-up Delhi Capitals in the opening match of the second season of Women's Premier League (WPL) at M Chinnaswammy Stadium in Bengaluru on February 23.

The WPL 2024 will be played in a 22-game caravan model at only two centers - Bengaluru and Delhi. Both venues will host 11 games each. The Bengaluru leg of the tournament will run until March 4 while the Delhi leg of the competition will start on March 5.

The table toppers will directly qualify for the finals while second and third-placed teams will face off in the Eliminator.

The second match of the tournament will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and UP Warriorz. The title clash will be played on March 17 while the Eliminator game will take place on March 15. Both the matches will be held at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

There will be no doubleheaders for the 24-day second season, and all games will begin at 7:30 PM IST. However, in rare situations, a team will have to play back-to-back games on consecutive days.

The WPL was initially expected to be staged in a home-and-away format, similar to the Indian Premier League (IPL), however, the BCCI has faced practical hurdles in carrying out the plan. The first season was entirely played in Mumbai.
