The route at the blast site near the Red Fort, which was closed for security reasons following the explosion, has now been opened to the public. On Saturday morning, vehicles were seen passing through, bringing relief to residents of Old Delhi and the surrounding areas.

On the evening of November 10, 2025, a Hyundai i20 car exploded near the Red Fort. The blast was so powerful that it caused chaos in the vicinity. Several people were injured, and some also died in the explosion. Immediately after the blast, police and the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team cordoned off the area and closed the surrounding routes. Repair work is also underway on the gates of the Metro station; in particular, several glass panes at Gate No. 1 were broken.

Current Situation

With the reopening of the road at the Red Fort blast site, traffic has gradually returned to normal. Vehicle owners were seen slowly passing along the road, and public movement has been restored in the area. Kamal, who has a shop in Lajpat Rai Market, mentioned that he only got his vehicle back today.

Preeti, a local Delhi resident, who had come with her family for wedding shopping, said her motorcycle was left in the parking lot at the time of the blast and had remained there since November 10. Now that the route is open, she can retrieve it.
