The Delhi government has announced its decision to initiate legal action against Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor and former Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal following his allegations that government teachers are being assigned the task of counting stray dogs. Delhi’s Home and Education Minister, Ashish Sood, confirmed that the administration intends to file an First Information Report (FIR) against the AAP leader.
The Controversy On Social Media
Sood stated that the government has decided to take strict action after carefully reviewing the matter. He accused Kejriwal of running a conspiracy to defame the Delhi government through posts on his X handle while stationed in Chandigarh. The controversy stems from a recent social media post by Kejriwal, in which he questioned whether Delhi's teachers should be focusing on educating children or counting dogs.

… https://t.co/1q4J4F0oQH

Ultimatum: Apologise Or Face FIR
Refuting these claims, Sood asserted that the official circular being cited by the Aam Aadmi Party and Kejriwal to target the administration contains no mention of counting dogs. He challenged Kejriwal to specify which circular includes such instructions. The Minister issued an ultimatum, stating that if Kejriwal fails to produce the relevant circular or does not tender a public apology, an FIR will be filed against him tomorrow.
Probe Ordered Into 'Fake Teachers'
Additionally, Sood mentioned that the police have been directed to investigate the matter further. He claimed that the probe would reveal the truth regarding individuals who were allegedly made to pose as teachers to give statements supporting the narrative, describing it as a calculated attempt to mislead the public.
