  1. NC, NCP face recent rebellions from senior leaders.
  2. Lack of transparency, nepotism, leadership issues cited.
  3. TMC, AAP, Shiv Sena also saw similar splits.

Regional Parties Crisis: In the past four days, the top leadership of two regional parties National Conference (NC) and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) (Ajit Pawar faction) have reportedly faced rebellion by the senior leaders. The rebels in both the cases have alleged lack of transparency and are reportedly upset with the functioning of the top brass. The similar allegations were made against several veterans, including Mamata Banerjee, Sharad Pawar, Arvind Kejriwal, and Uddhav Thackeray.

Regional Parties In Crisis:

- NCP (Ajit Pawar faction): The reports of infighting intensified after several senior leaders bypassed the high command to meet Home Minister Amit Shah. Sunetra Pawar, the de facto leader and current Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra, has called a meeting at her Mumbai's residence today. As per the reports, the senior leaders are upset with the working style of young leader Parth Pawar.

- National Conference: The Omar Abdullah-led government in Jammu and Kashmir is in danger after a group of 25 MLAs recently threatened of mass resignation. The rebels are upset with the recent cabinet expansion and lack of communication from the party's top brass.

- Trinamool Congress (TMC): Following a crushing defeat in the West Bengal assembly election, 60 of the total 80 MLAs and 20 MPs exited the party in a major setback to former chief minister Mamata Banerjee. Most of the rebels blamed party MP and Mamata's nephew Abhishek Banerjee for the split.

- Aam Aadmi Party (AAP): Earlier this year, seven of the 10 Rajya Sabha MPs of AAP, including Sandeep Pathak and Raghav Chadha exited the Arvind Kejriwal-led party and joined the ruling BJP. The rebels accused Kejriwal of compromising with his principles and claimed his alleged involvement in corruption.

- Shiv Sena: In a major setback for then Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, party MLA Eknath Shinde led a massive rebellion. Along with the majority of MLAs, Shinde formed his own faction of Shiv Sena and formed government with the BJP. Earlier this year, several party MPs joined Shinde's faction this year, in a fresh setback for the Thackeray faction.

- Nationalist Congress Party (NCP): Earlier, Sharad Pawar's nephew Ajit Pawar, who died in a helicopter crash this year, led a rebellion against his uncle. Along with the other senior leaders, including Praful Patel and Chhagan Bhujbal, he formed his own faction of NCP and joined the NDA.

A pattern in most of these cases is the rebels have questioned the nepotism, functioning of the top brass, and lack of communication and transparency.
