Delhi News: The authorities took action against a principal of an MCD school in Kishangarh, Delhi, following allegations that he sent vulgar and offensive messages to female teachers in the school's WhatsApp group. An official on Thursday said the accused has been transferred on administrative grounds following allegations against the principal.
An enquiry has been launched against the principal and he has been moved to an MCD school in Sultanpuri with immediate effect. According to the order issued by the authorities, immediate action has been taken against the accused, calling it a serious issue.
The development comes after Education Committee Chairperson Yogesh Verma wrote to the municipal commissioner, urging strict action against the principal and the officials who allegedly ignored earlier complaints.
The Education Committee Chairperson, in his letter, said a written complaint had been submitted by a teacher, along with screenshots of the alleged messages, but no action was taken by the deputy director (Education) despite the seriousness of the matter.

Termed the conduct "highly inappropriate and unethical", he saidsuch behaviour from the head of an educational institution compromises the safety and dignity of female staff.
The chairperson also called for an inquiry into the officials who "deliberately ignored or suppressed the complaint."
Student Dies After Jumping From Metro Station Over Alleged Humiliation By Teachers
Meanwhile, three private school teachers are in the news after a class 10th student died due to alleged humiliation by them on Tuesday. The boy allegedly jumped from the platform of Rajendra Nagar Metro Station. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Police have recovered a one-page suicide note. According to police, the 15-year-old student lived with his family in Rajiv Nagar and studied in a private school. Pradeep Patil, father of 16-year-old victim Shourya Patil, alleged that a prolonged humiliation by teachers led to the extreme step by his son.
