Delhi Air Pollution Today: Delhi's air quality remained in the 'very poor' category on November 24, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) at 397 at 8 am, according to the CPCB (Central Pollution Control Board), showing little change from Sunday. Of the 39 monitoring stations in the city, 20 recorded severe pollution levels. Noida faced an even more critical situation, with the AQI rising to 396, also in the severe range. According to the Air Quality Early Warning System, Delhi's air is likely to remain in the 'very poor' category for the next three days, until Wednesday.

Delhi-NCR AQI 

Noida’s AQI fell to 396, while Greater Noida recorded an AQI of 399, both in the ‘very poor’ category. Ghaziabad registered a severe AQI of 432. Gurugram and Faridabad reported comparatively better air quality, with AQI levels of 291 and 239 respectively.

Area-Wise AQI In Delhi Today

As per 7 am data, several of Delhi’s pollution hotspots recorded severe air quality levels. Jahangirpuri reported an AQI of 455, Rohini 458, DTU 444, and Anand Vihar 440. Bawana recorded 439, Ashok Vihar 436, Burari 433, and Alipur 412. At ITO, the AQI stood at 410, while Dwarka recorded 401 and India Gate 347, categorised as ‘Very Poor’. Mayur Vihar and Ghazipur both registered an AQI of 441, falling in the ‘Severe’ category. Other areas reported the following levels: Chandni Chowk 390, RK Puram 397, ITO 384, Punjabi Bagh 411, Patparganj 401, Pusa 360, and Dwarka Sector-8 386.

Delhi Weather 

The National Capital recorded a maximum temperature of 26.7 Degree Celsius and a minimum of 10.4 Degree Celsius, with evening humidity at 68 percent. The IMD has forecast moderate fog on Monday along with similar temperature conditions.

Delhi Air Pollution Protest In Delhi At India Gate 

Delhi has been grappling with severe air pollution in recent weeks, prompting protests demanding urgent measures to tackle the crisis. On Sunday, a group of demonstrators gathered at India Gate, holding placards and calling for action against the worsening air quality.

The protest turned violent when some agitators attempted to breach the barricades set up to control movement, leading to a scuffle with the police. During the confrontation, some protestors reportedly sprayed red chilli in officers’ eyes. New Delhi DCP Devesh Kumar Mhla stated that the agitators had gathered inside C-Hexagon before trying to cross the barricades.
