Delhi schools, including Amity International School and Birla Vidya Niketan received bomb threat messages on Thursday, Delhi Police reported. Security teams were promptly mobilised, and precautionary inspections were carried out at the campuses. Security agencies were alerted immediately, and precautionary checks were carried out at the affected campuses. However, no suspicious objects were found at any of the schools.
The incident occurred a day after at least 18 schools in Chandigarh received bomb threat emails, sparking panic and prompting extensive security checks. Police later confirmed that no explosives were found at any of the sites.
In a separate incident, bomb threats targeted several prominent private schools in Chandigarh and Gurugram on Wednesday morning, triggering widespread panic among students, parents, and staff. Multiple institutions received threatening emails, prompting a swift and coordinated response from the police, bomb disposal squads, and disaster response teams.
In Chandigarh, a few schools were evacuated after authorities received the threat emails, police said. Security personnel rushed to the campuses and carried out thorough searches, while security arrangements in and around the schools were significantly tightened as a precaution.
Meanwhile, six private schools in Gurugram also received bomb threats via email. The alerts were immediately shared with the police and district administration, following which search operations were launched and students were evacuated. The affected schools included Kunsakpalan School in DLF Phase-1, Lancers School in Sector-53, Heritage Experiential Learning School in Sectors 62 and 64, Shiv Nadar School in DLF Phase-1, Shri Ram Aravali School, and Pathway World School near Badshahpur.
