The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory in connection with a government function for the inauguration of Electric DTC buses by the Chief Minister of Delhi at Ram Leela Ground on February 8, 2026. The event, organised by the Delhi Transport Corporation, will take place from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. To facilitate smooth movement of traffic and ensure public convenience, certain restrictions and diversions will be enforced in and around the venue between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm.

Traffic Restrictions and Diversions

Need-based diversions and restrictions may be imposed on Jawaharlal Nehru (JLN) Marg.

If required, heavy vehicles may be diverted from Delhi Gate, Minto Road and Ajmeri Gate side (R/A Kamla Market) and will not be allowed to proceed towards Ram Leela Maidan on JLN Marg.

Commuters are advised to avoid the following roads from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm due to the arrival of participants:

JLN Marg

Asaf Ali Road

Chaman Lal Marg

R/A Kamla Market

Diversion Plan 

Vehicles coming from Delhi Gate towards Ram Leela Maidan may be diverted towards ITO via DDU Marg and then Minto Road.

Traffic from R/A Kamla Market may be directed to take a compulsory left turn or U-turn and will not be allowed to proceed on JLN Marg towards Delhi Gate Chowk.

Vehicles approaching from Ajmeri Gate via R/A Kamla Market may be diverted towards Minto Road.

Parking Arrangements

Visitors may park their vehicles at Mata Sundari College Parking.

Parking Restrictions for General Vehicles

Parking will not be permitted on JLN Marg, Asaf Ali Road, Minto Road, DDU Marg or Chaman Lal Marg on either carriageway on the scheduled date.

Vehicles found parked on these roads will be towed away and prosecuted as per law.

Public Advisory

Commuters travelling to New Delhi or New Delhi Railway Station are advised to plan their journeys in advance.

Those heading to New Delhi Railway Station should use ITO Chowk and DDU Marg.

Commuters coming from the Ajmeri Gate side may take a right turn from R/A Kamla Market towards Minto Road.
