New Year Traffic Advisory Delhi: As residents of the national capital gear up for the New Year celebrations, the Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory to manage the anticipated crowd and ensure public safety. According to the traffic advisory, dedicated traffic restrictions, diversions and parking arrangements will be implemented across major hubs, including Connaught Place and India Gate.

The Delhi Traffic Police has also deployed an additional 20,000 personnel to monitor key party zones. To reduce congestion on roads and avoid travel delays, the Delhi Traffic Police has advised commuters to opt for public transportation such as the Delhi Metro.

Delhi Traffic Advisory: Check Restrictions, Diversions And Parking Arrangements Near India Gate

- To manage the anticipated surge in pedestrian traffic at India Gate, the Delhi Traffic Police have announced diversions at key stretches, including Q-Point, Mathura Road-Old Fort, Mathura Road-Sher Shah Road, Zakir Hussain Marg, Rafi Marg and Pandara Road.

- Commuters are likely to face diversions at several roundabouts at India Gate.

- The Traffic Police have clarified that parking near India Gate is strictly limited and will be available only on a first-come, first-served basis, with a complete ban on roadside parking.

- Unauthorised vehicles will be towed immediately, and legal action will be taken against violators.

Traffic Restrictions And Diversions Near Connaught Place

- Starting at 8 PM on Wednesday, the Delhi Traffic Police will implement major restrictions and diversions at Connaught Place.

- According to the traffic advisory, vehicles will be banned from entering the inner, middle, and outer circles of Connaught Place starting Wednesday evening. Only vehicles with valid authorised passes will be allowed to enter the restricted areas.

- Vehicles heading towards Connaught Place will be diverted via Mandi House, Bengali Market, the Ranjit Singh Flyover, Minto Road, Chelmsford Road, RK Ashram Marg, Gole Market, GPO, Patel Chowk, Kasturba Gandhi Road, and Jai Singh Road.
