Traffic congestion is expected on Patel Road on December 30 due to ongoing drainage maintenance and renovation work by the Delhi Jal Board near Patel Nagar Metro Station. The Delhi Traffic Police has issued an advisory in this regard. 

The affected stretch is the part of Patel Road that goes from Shadipur Chowk via R/A Pusa towards Shankar Road. Two lanes are affected by this work, which is likely to result in slow or heavy traffic.

Alternative routes have been suggested for traffic heading towards New Delhi or Karol Bagh. From Shadipur Chowk, turn right towards Loha Mandi, then proceed towards Inderpuri via Dev Prakash Shastri Marg. 

In the advisory, the Delhi Police has advised commuters that there may be traffic congestion and travel delays. Therefore, they should plan their journey and follow the instructions of traffic personnel and signboards on the road.
